African Heritage/Black History Month is a time to celebrate the rich tradition of African Americans and Canadians, including thousands of black workers who are proud members of the IAM.
February is African Heritage Month! The provincial theme for 2023 is Seas of struggle – African Peoples from Shore to Shore.
The Local Lodge 2797 Human Rights Committee would like to encourage you to attend events and to share in the history and culture of African Nova Scotians.
A list of events can be found on the Black Cultural Centre website and the Halifax Public Libraries website.
